Today the Matt Marchand for Mayor Campaign announced additional support and endorsement from the business and labour communities as past Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) President & CEO Allan O’Dette and Windsor & District Labour Council (WDLC) have endorsed Matt for Mayor.
Marchand is once again bringing the business and labour communities together to transform Windsor with new ideas and direction.
“Transparency and commitment to advocating on behalf of Windsor was always top of Matt’s agenda in all aspects of his Chamber work,” said Allan O’Dette.
As President & CEO of the OCC, Allan worked with Matt for five years on various provincial initiatives. In 2017, Allan joined the Ontario Government as the province’s first Chief Investment Officer where he led the Ontario Investment Office and secured increased investment in key sectors while strengthening the overall competitiveness of Ontario firms.
“Matt has a strong business background, but his proven leadership demonstrates that he can bring not only business and labour together, but he can bring the community together to get results,” said WDLC President Brian Hogan.
Matt partnered with Brian and the WDLC to produce the All Candidates Provincial Debate earlier this year
This momentum builds on last month’s announcement of the Marchand for Mayor Honourary Campaign Co-Chairs: National Auto Executive Nick Marentette, Unifor National Director – Auto Industry Dino Chiodo, and senior tech executive Lillian Reaume, bringing business, labour, technology, and the community together. It also builds on the support and endorsement received from Dave Cassidy, President, Unifor Local 444.
